Literature Survey on Energy Efficient Routing Protocols for Mobile Adhoc Networks

Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is a collection of wireless mobile hosts which cooperatively form a network spontaneously whenever it is required, using no fixed infrastructure or centralized administration. The major requirement in the MANET which is usually characterized by mobile nodes with limited battery power is to limit the energy consumption. However, offering energy efficient routing is a difficult and challenging task, due to these problems various energy efficient routing protocols have been proposed for MANET. All these energy efficient routing protocols have different features and use different mechanisms for conserving energy. In this paper, we present a literature survey of the energy conservation routing protocols for MANET on various perspective.
